Mr. Shryock has a wide breadth of experience in forensic accounting for insurance and construction-related matters. He has testified at arbitration, in Federal Court and in State Court. He has also been deposed on numerous occasions and has participated in multiple meditations and other claims settlement negotiations. He has been accepted as an expert in matters related to business interruption/lost profits, financial condition and motive in alleged arson claims, business valuation issues.
Mr. Shryock holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of South Carolina. He is a member and charter holder of the CFA Institute, a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and serves as Treasurer on the board for the Insurance Professionals of Atlanta.
Michael has participated in multiple presentations to members of the insurance and legal professions on topics such as business income calculations, catastrophe claims, and construction cost accounting issues. He has also assisted at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s annual Trial Academy as a damages expert witness on three occasions.
Prior to founding Point to Point Forensics, Mr. Shryock worked: in the construction solutions practice for a publicly-traded consulting firm; at a boutique forensic accounting company; and in the forensics/disputes group of a Big Four accounting firm.
